Sam Tweets Re:Hunt For The Wilderpeople

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT SAM

Sam was born in Omagh, Northern Ireland on September 14, 1947. He is 6'0" tall. He moved to New Zealand with his family as a young child. His given name was Nigel. As there were so many Nigel's in his school, he was given the name Sam. As a child, Sam had a stutter which he worked very hard to control. In a rare instance, you may still make this stutter out in some of his movies.

Sam began his film career as a Director in some small documentaries. After a few years of directing, Sam acted in the movie Sleeping Dogs, filmed in New Zealand. This lead to more acting jobs and also a TV series where the actor James Mason noticed Sam. Mr. Mason recommended Sam for the movie Omen 3, where Sam had the leading role of Damien. This is the film where most of the ladies in the world first got to know WONDERFUL SAM NEILL!
